How to Win Someone's Heart?

Whenever you want to win someone's heart, either for love or for impression, you'll always have to give convincing arguments. Why shall a girl falls in love with you? Why shall a boss be impressed about you and give you promotions? Why shall your family members keep their faith in you? All these Whys are all questionable if you do not understand how important winning someone's heart is.

The best way to be convincing is to give facts. For example, when you are trying to impress your employer, you should give him some stats of your past achievement and sales. Let those numbers endorse you ! Once your boss sees how well you have done and how much achievement you have persevered, he / she will eventually give you some benefits such as promotions and some raises.

Is the World Falling Apart?

The world has been falling apart since we entered the 21st century where technologies are well developed. Nowadays, people tend to have more interactions in the cyberspace rather than in reality. A lot of them is almost like losing their speaking ability that they only do conversations via technologies such as texting messages or sending icons. People have pathetically lost their connections with each other tête-à-tête once they enter their cyberspace. Furthermore, the world has fallen apart not only because of losing connections among people, but also because of ambition and greed.  Just as mentioned in the Bible, money IS indeed the root of evil. People kidnap or rob, or steal because of their cravings for more money. The world, the peace have disappeared.

How Do We Measure Progress?

To me, the best kind of life will be that todays be better than yesterdays, and tomorrows be better than todays. Of course, progress takes the biggest part of maintaining my daily morale stable. As long as I am more happy than the me yesterday, or even a second ago, my life is complete. The best way to measure progress is to be aware of whether you're happier than the you before. Happiness takes most part of our life.

What Can Break Down Prejudice ?

Prejudice has always come from our first impression about a person. If the person dressed up good, we might have a bigger chance to believe that he or she would be a good person. However, that does not tell the real him or her. The fact is, before we judge a person, that we should think about how the person's personality or attitude is. The best way to determine it is to become a friend with the person first and assume that he or she is nice to be one. After a while, you will find that whether the person can be a true friend. Knowing a person well does take time and effort. So is judging a person. In the novel of Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth's first impression about Mr. Darcy was arrogant. Hence she treated him badly until she realized that he was actually the person who helped save her family's reputation. In general, time takes the most crucial role in breaking down prejudice.

How do you live life to the fullest?

I think that the fullest life is to be healthy and have a good career. As long as I am healthy, I will have hope to persevere with anything in order to get what I want. The fullest life will also need to provide me confidence and that depends on whether my career is in my best interest. The best scenario will be that my future job contribute to my interest and also reward me with reasonable amount of money for living. Finally, having a family where all the members are healthy is also a critical factor. As long as everyone whom I love is healthy, my life is generally complete.

What Are the Perils of Jealousy ?

In reality, jealousy sometimes makes people become eccentrically misbehaved. In my opinion, I think that jealously is one of the most severe factor that demolishes good relationships among people. From my experience, I had a pretty good relationship with a friend until we realized that we were actually competitors. I remember that I failed the last stage of the test because of him telling the teacher that I was cheating, which was not true. Such a great disappointment has never vanished in my mind. Now I can understand that friendship or other relationships can never last long if integrity and honesty are shown to one and another. Jealously is everywhere, in my thought.

What Is a Workhouse?

A workhouse is an institution where the working poor are fed and housed. Workhouses are especially closely associated with life in Victorian England, although they are in fact much older. In 1930, the workhouse system was abolished in favor of other systems for assisting the poor, but the idea of the workhouse continues to haunt books set in the 1800s. One of the most famous workhouses is probably that which appears in Oliver Twist, as a classic example of a British workhouse, complete with grim conditions.

Why Keep a Diary ?

Diary, according to a dictionary's definition, is a book of a person which keeps daily events and experiences. Hence, it could become a great memoir someday if I were trying to tell my grand children some stories when I was young. To me, a diary should be kept by a mighty person or a legend because he/she needs to give some evidence in order to prove something to other people. Therefore, I wonder if I kept one for myself, would I become a legend someday? ha...however, keeping a diary has still not become my habit because I don't want to be cautious all the time because people might unveil my personal experience or secret someday when I lose my diary.
