What Can Break Down Prejudice ?

Prejudice has always come from our first impression about a person. If the person dressed up good, we might have a bigger chance to believe that he or she would be a good person. However, that does not tell the real him or her. The fact is, before we judge a person, that we should think about how the person's personality or attitude is. The best way to determine it is to become a friend with the person first and assume that he or she is nice to be one. After a while, you will find that whether the person can be a true friend. Knowing a person well does take time and effort. So is judging a person. In the novel of Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth's first impression about Mr. Darcy was arrogant. Hence she treated him badly until she realized that he was actually the person who helped save her family's reputation. In general, time takes the most crucial role in breaking down prejudice.
